Pan De Agua

Ingredients

  • 3 cups Flour

  • 1 cup Cold Water

  • 3 tablespoons Oil

  • 1 tablespoon Sugar

  • 1/2 tablespoon Salt

  • 2 tablespoons Yeast

Instructions

  1. Add all ingredients (minus yeast) into a stand mixer and kneed for 7 minutes at level 4 or 5

  2. Add yeast and kneed for another 8 minutes

  3. Portion into roughly 10 dough balls

  4. Roll into balls and then elongate so that the length is about twice as long as the width

  5. With a round wooden spoon handle, press into the center and roll out each direction

  6. With the palm of your hand, roll the dough into itself and place on a parchment paper lined baking sheet

    1. Repeat with the remaining dough balls

  7. Cover and let rise for 45 minutes

  8. Preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit

    1. Place an empty pan on the bottom rack of the oven

  9. Place the baking sheet with the risen dough dough into the oven

  10. Poor 1/4 cup of water in the lower pan to create steam

  11. Bake for 25 minutes

  12. Eat!
