Mediterranean Rice Bowl

Ingredients

Turmeric Rice

    • 2 cups White Rice

    • 4 cups Water

    • 1.5 tablespoons Turmeric

    • 2 tablespoons Salt

Meat

    • 3 tablespoons Olive Oil

    • 1 Onion (sliced or chopped)

    • 1 pound Chicken/Seafood/Beef

    • 3 cloves Garlic (minced)

    • 1 tablespoon Paprika

    • 1 teaspoon Allspice

    • 1 tablespoon Red Pepper Flakes

    • 1 Lemon's juice

    • 1 teaspoon Ground Ginger

    • Salt & Pepper to taste

Spicy Red Sauce

    • 1 jar (12 ounces) Roasted Red Peppers (drained)

    • 2-3 cloves Garlic

    • 1/2 cup Olive Oil

    • 1/2 cup Toasted Sliced Almonds

    • 1 Lemon's Juice

    • Salt & Pepper to taste

Additional Toppings

    • Spinach

    • Olives

    • Yogurt

    • Pepperoncini

    • Feta Cheese

    • Mint or Parsley to garnish

    • Sun-dried Tomatoes

    • Hummus

Instructions

  1. Rice

    1. Add all ingredients into a pot

    2. Stir well

    3. Cook rice

  2. Meat

    1. In a hot skillet, add oil

    2. Add onions and saute until translucent

    3. Add all other ingredients

    4. Cook until meat is done

  3. Spicy Red Sauce

    1. Add all ingredients into a blender and press the blend button

  4. Toss it in a bowl with all your favorite toppings

  5. Eat!
