Pasta Amatriciana


  • 8 ounces Pasta

  • 1/4 pound Bacon (chopped)

  • 2 cloves Garlic (minced)

  • 15.5 ounces Crushed Tomatoes

  • 1 teaspoon Black Pepper

  • ~ 1 cup Pecorino Cheese (shredded)


  1. Cook pasta according to package instructions

    1. Reserve a cup of pasta water for later

  2. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add bacon and cook until bacon is crispy

  3. Add garlic and sauté for another minute

  4. Add tomatoes and black pepper, reduce heat to medium and simmer until sauce thickens

  5. Add pasta and cheese, mix well

    1. Add a little pasta water if too thick

  6. Eat!
