Fish & Chips

Ingredients

  • Vegetable/Canola Oil for Deep Frying

  • 1.5 pound Cod Fillets

  • Batter

    • 1-1/4 cups Flour

    • 1/4 cup Corn Starch

    • 1 teaspoon Baking Powder

    • 1 teaspoon Salt

    • 1 cup Beer (lager)

  • French Fries

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix batter ingredients

  2. Cover your fish with a dusting of plain flour, then drop into the batter and coat completely.

  3. Pre-heat oil in deep fryer to 350F (180C)

  4. Once fish is coated with batter, gently place into the deep fryer and cook for 8 to 10 minutes, until golden and crispy.

  5. Remove from oil and rest on paper towels

    1. Season with salt while still hot

  6. Serve with French Fires

  7. Eat!
