Salmon

Ingredients

  • 1 pound Salmon Filet

  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil

  • 2 tablespoons Butter

  • 3 cloves Garlic

  • 1 branch Thyme

  • 1/2 Lime (juice)

  • Cajun Seasoning

  • Salt & Pepper

Instructions

  1. Remove salmon from refrigerator one hour before cooking

    1. Cut 3 or 4 lengthwise slits through the skin side of the filet, about 1/4 inch deep

    2. Generously sprinkle salt, pepper, and Cajun seasoning over both sides of the filet

  2. In a hot skillet, add oil

  3. Once oil is hot, place filet in the pan, skin side down

  4. Cook for about 2 minutes

  5. Flip and cook for 2 minutes

  6. Reduce heat to medium-low

  7. Flip again (skin side down) and add the butter, garlic, and thyme

  8. Cook for another 7 minutes, periodically basting the filet with spoon-fulls of butter

  9. Let rest 5 minutes

  10. Eat!
