1 pound Salmon Filet
2 tablespoons Olive Oil
2 tablespoons Butter
3 cloves Garlic
1 branch Thyme
1/2 Lime (juice)
Cajun Seasoning
Salt & Pepper
Remove salmon from refrigerator one hour before cooking
Cut 3 or 4 lengthwise slits through the skin side of the filet, about 1/4 inch deep
Generously sprinkle salt, pepper, and Cajun seasoning over both sides of the filet
In a hot skillet, add oil
Once oil is hot, place filet in the pan, skin side down
Cook for about 2 minutes
Flip and cook for 2 minutes
Reduce heat to medium-low
Flip again (skin side down) and add the butter, garlic, and thyme
Cook for another 7 minutes, periodically basting the filet with spoon-fulls of butter
Let rest 5 minutes
Eat!
