White Chili

Ingredients

  • 1/4 pound Bacon (chopped)

  • 2 tablespoons Butter

  • 1 Yellow Onion (diced)

  • 4 cloves Garlic (minced)

  • 1/3 cup Flour

  • 1 cup Milk

  • 2 cups Water

  • 2 cups Heavy Cream

  • 2 cans (15.5 ounce each) White Beans

  • 1 teaspoon Salt

  • 1 teaspoon Pepper

  • 1 tablespoon Chicken bouillon

  • 1 pound Fish (cubed)

  • 1 teaspoon Cayenne Pepper

Instructions

  1. In a large pot over medium high heat, add bacon and fry for a few minutes until cooked

  2. Add butter and onions and cook for about 5 minutes, until aromatic and translucent

  3. Add garlic and cook for another minute or so until aromatic

  4. Reduce heat to low and add flour and stir constantly - cook for a few minutes until flour begins to lightly toast

  5. Add milk, cream, beans, water, salt, pepper, and chicken bouillon and mix well

  6. Add fish and simmer for 2 hours - stirring every 15 minutes or so

  7. Eat!
