Rajma Chawal
Ingredients
2 tablespoon Olive Oil
1 Onion (chopped)
2 cloves garlic (minced)
1 teaspoon Ginger (minced)
Spices
1 tablespoon Coriander Powder
1 teaspoons Ground Cumin
1 teaspoon Turmeric
1 teaspoon Chili Powder
1 teaspoon Garam Masala
1 teaspoon Cayenne Pepper
1 can (15.5 ounces) Diced Tomatoes (finely chopped)
2 cans (15.5 ounces each) Kidney Beans
1.5 cups Water
2 tablespoons Plain Yogurt
Salt and Pepper
Instructions
Heat oil in a pot, stir in the onion and fry for about 3-4 minutes over medium heat.
Add garlic, ginger, spices, and tomatoes and sauté for a few minutes until aromatic
Add Beans and water - bring to a boil and reduce heat to low and cook for 1 hour
Add yogurt, salt, and pepper to taste
Serve warm with Basmati Rice, Flatbread, or Naan
Eat!
